MASA Appreciation Dinner

What is MASA?

The mission aviation support association is a 501 (C)(3) organization that provides housing, transportation, meals, and speaking opportunities for IAMA mission agencies attending EAA AirVenture.  This is possible because church-folk throughout the area work together to open their homes, loan their cars, and provide food.   (John 17:20-26 Jesus prayer for unity among the believers.)

Churches and individuals provide the financial support that enables MASA to provide a welcoming hospitality tent in the EAA Camp Scholler Campground for meals and fellowship.

We are the “feet on the ground” for these mission agencies from around the world.  We help prepare their way in any way we can.

EAA AirVenture Wrap-up:

MASA served 280 missionaries and guests over the week

• We served 4600 meals, provided by 35 churches working together
• We provided Chauffer Service to 3 airports with 35 arrivals and departures
• We loaned 46 vehicles throughout the week.
• 76 families opened their homes to house 229 missionaries.
• There were 60 speaking opportunities in churches, small groups, and community groups.
• We even provided free hair cuts

YOU are the face of MASA to each of our guests.  Whether you're serving food, keeping the dining room clean, serving beverage, collecting garbage, picking up volunteers - or the myriad of other duties that keep our hospitality tent inviting - you did it with a smile and servant's heart.  THANK YOU!! Without you, this ministry would not happen!

Next year's dates are July 23-29, 2012.  We also need help with set up 19th and 20th and take down on the 30th. Please keep these dates in mind for next year.
